Terms of Use
Last updated: 7 November 2026
These terms apply when you use Tickwell: To-Do List & Planner (“Tickwell”), an Android app made by Horyaal Tech (“we”, “us”). By using Tickwell you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
Using Tickwell
You can use Tickwell for your personal and work tasks. Please don’t misuse it, for example by trying to get around the Pro features without a subscription, copying or reselling the app, or using it to break the law.
Your tasks and data
Your tasks belong to you. They are stored only on your phone, so if you lose your phone, reset it or uninstall Tickwell, your tasks will be lost and we can’t recover them. Use Settings > Data > Export Backup to keep a copy somewhere safe.
Reminders
We work hard to deliver reminders on time, but your phone’s settings, battery saving or Android itself can delay or stop them. Please don’t rely on Tickwell alone for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm, such as taking medicine.
Free and Pro
Tickwell’s free features cost nothing. Tickwell Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks extra features, as listed in the app: Smart Scan, unlimited categories, custom reminder times, full progress history, the focus stopwatch and history, all themes and photo backgrounds, and the Month widget and widget styles.
Subscriptions, trials and cancelling
- Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. The price is shown in the app and in Google Play before you buy, and Google Play may show it in your local currency.
- The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, you’ll be charged the yearly price.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time in the Google Play app: Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Uninstalling Tickwell does not cancel your subscription. After cancelling, Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policies. This doesn’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.
- If the price changes, you’ll be told in advance as Google Play requires.
Changes to the app
We may add, change or remove features to improve Tickwell or to keep it working with new versions of Android and Google Play.
Ownership
Tickwell, its design and its artwork belong to Horyaal Tech. Some parts of the app use open-source software, which is provided under its own licence.
Our responsibility to you
Tickwell is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost data, missed tasks or reminders, or any indirect loss, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for Tickwell Pro in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Stopping use
You can stop using Tickwell at any time by uninstalling it. If you have a subscription, cancel it in Google Play as described above.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Tickwell after a change, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep the protection of your local consumer laws and can bring a claim in your local courts.
